Hello,
I'm Miles Abadia, a student currently studying Industrial Design at San Jose State University. Right out of high school, I attended Diablo Valley College, where I earned my AS in Industrial Design along with certifications in both manual and CNC machining. This was a critical step for me—it served as a stepping stone toward a better education and helped validate my love and passion for Industrial Design. After completing my studies at DVC, I applied to transfer into the SJSU BS Industrial Design program, where I am now currently enrolled.
Whenever I'm asked to describe Industrial Design, I always say it’s the perfect blend of engineering, architecture, and art. I love Industrial Design because it draws the best aspects of all three disciplines into product development. It allows me to express my creativity—generating exciting ideas, sketching concepts on paper to visually communicate them, and transforming them into tangible products through CAD modeling or physical prototypes. The ability to pick up, touch, and interact with something I’ve designed is incredibly rewarding.
One of my favorite aspects of Industrial Design is the collaborative process, especially during brainstorming sessions. I love engaging with fellow designers, bouncing ideas off one another, and watching those ideas evolve into something truly innovative. As a designer and as a person, moments like these are what I live for!
Thank you for checking out my portfolio, I hope you find it interesting!
