Hello,
I'm Miles Abadia, a student currently studying Industrial Design at San Jose State University. Right out of high school I went to Diablo Valley College where I earned my AS in Industrial Design, along with with their manual and CNC machine shop certificates. This was critical step for me as it was a stepping stone for a better education and helped me to validate my love and passion for Industrial Design. Once finished at DVC, I applied to transfer into the SJSU BS Industrial Design program where I'm now currently enrolled.
Whenever I'm asked to describe what Industrial Design is I always say it's the perfect blend of being an engineer, architect and artist all in one. I enjoy Industrial Design because it pulls the perfect amount of all three aspects into designing products. I get to show my creative side and generate cool ideas, getting to sketch out concepts onto paper to visually showcase them in an exciting, but meaningful way. Turning them into real concepts through CAD or even as physical prototypes you can pick up, touch and interact with has always been so fun for me. One of my favorite aspects of Industrial Design is when you collaborate through brainstorming sessions. This is where I get to interact with fellow designers and we get to spitball ideas and eventually come out with really cool concepts. As a designer and as a person, moments like these are what I live for!
Thank you for checking out my portfolio, I hope you find it interesting!
